Experience Shows in Quality for the Customer

Muottituote manufactures injection moulded components using modern, high‑precision machinery operated by skilled professionals. Careful quality monitoring, combined with strong expertise and experience in machine operation, ensures consistent high quality across all products.

A great example of this long‑standing injection moulding expertise is setter Raimo Turunen, who joined the company back in October 1984, when it was still known as KL‑Teho in Korpilahti. At the time, Raimo was working in electrical installations, but the idea of a job close to home quickly caught his interest.

“I saw an injection moulding machine for the first time when I was doing electrical work at the factory. I then heard they were looking for people – just three kilometres from my home.”

More than 40 years later, both the workplace and home remain the same. Looking back, Raimo remembers how much there was to learn when he first started.

“There were fewer machines back then and much more manual work, but I was already amazed at what you can make from plastic – and I still am today.”

“Muottituote is a great place to work, where everyone is listened to and things are developed together.”

Challenges Are Solved Together

In his role as a setter, Raimo’s working day includes changing moulds, setting up and starting injection moulding machines, supplying materials, and continuously ensuring product quality. While the core tasks are familiar, he especially values how varied the work is.

“No two days are the same. There’s always something interesting going on and something new to learn. Challenges come up regularly, and we work through them to make sure we deliver the best possible product.”

“You succeed here if you’re persistent, enjoy solving challenges and want to keep learning.”

Raimo points out that the processing parameters recommended by raw material suppliers do not always produce the best result in practice. If a product does not meet quality requirements, the team works together to adjust machine settings and operating methods until the right solution is found.

“The best thing here is the really strong team spirit and the way issues are handled together. That’s how we always find the best solutions,” Raimo says.

With more than 40 years of experience, Raimo Turunen sets and operates injection moulding machines, helping to ensure the highest possible quality in every product.

Clean Indoor Work and Continuous Learning

Many of the roughly twenty professionals working at Muottituote’s Korpilahti factory have long careers in plastics manufacturing. At the same time, new colleagues are always welcome – and Raimo knows well what kind of people the job is best suited for.

“You do well here if you’re persistent, enjoy solving problems and are willing to keep learning. This is clean indoor work, but in an environment that’s interesting and constantly developing.”

“I’m still amazed at what can be made from plastic.”

With retirement approaching in a couple of years, Raimo says he feels both happy and proud of his workplace – a place where everyone is listened to and development happens together.

“Muottituote is a great employer, and I’m very happy to still be working here for a while.”
