Capacity and Space Expansion in Joensuu
At the Joensuu factory, an approximately 600-square-meter expansion was built adjacent to the existing facilities. This created space for five new injection molding machines and additional storage. Construction began before Christmas and was completed by the end of May 2025.
“Joensuu has grown in many ways over the years, and this expansion allows us to meet the needs brought by that growth. The factory currently employs around 50 people, and we foresee a need to recruit 4–5 new professionals in the near future,” says Tero Vanninen, CEO of Muottituote Group.
The new section has already enabled an increase in machine capacity, with three new electric injection molding machines added. Altogether, there are now 16 machines at the Joensuu facility.
